Terms and Conditions for Vebert Does Math

1. Introduction

Welcome to Vebert Does Math, LLC. These terms and conditions govern the relationship between the client (parent and/or student) and the tutoring team of Vebert Does Math, LLC when booking and participating in our tutoring services. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

2. Booking and Appointments

Booking:

  • Appointments can be booked via our website, VebertDoesMath.com, or by requesting that an appointment be booked on your behalf.

Payment Information:

  • Payment details are securely collected when booking appointments through our third-party payment processor. The appointment is reserved upon submission of your payment information, and your card on file will be charged after the session unless an alternative payment method is provided at the time of the appointment.

Session Cost and Length:

  • Tutoring sessions are billed at $90 per session.

  • Each session is 55 minutes in duration.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy (Overarching):

  • Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without penalty if done at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling made within 24 hours of the appointment (including no-shows) will incur a fee of $45.

  • This cancellation policy applies to both individual sessions and package sessions unless otherwise noted.

Packages:

  • Discounted packages may be offered. Once purchased, packages are nonrefundable; however, the credits do not expire.

  • For package sessions, if you cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice, the appointment credit will be reinstated.

  • If cancellation or rescheduling occurs within 24 hours (including no-shows), you may either use the session credit (resulting in its loss) or opt to pay the $45 cancellation fee to retain the credit for future use.

Late Arrivals:

  • If a student arrives late, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled end time to honor commitments to other clients.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Active Participation: The student agrees to assist in identifying areas of difficulty to tailor the tutoring effectively.

  • Homework and Assignments: Timely completion of assignments, exercises, or homework is essential and forms an integral part of the tutoring process.

  • Environment for Online Sessions: For online sessions, students should be in a suitable, quiet, and distraction-free environment to maximize learning.

  • Technical Preparedness: For online sessions, ensure that all necessary technology and internet connections are functional to avoid disruptions.

4. Tutor Responsibilities

  • Team of Tutors: Tutoring sessions may be conducted by a team of qualified tutors employed or contracted by Vebert Does Math, LLC.

  • Preparation and Customization: Each tutor will prepare for sessions and structure lessons to maximize the student’s learning.

  • Confidentiality: All student information will be kept confidential. Tutors will only contact additional parties involved in the student’s education with written permission from the student or guardian.

  • Academic Integrity: Tutors will not complete assignments or homework on behalf of the student.

5. Privacy and Data Handling

  • Data Use: Client data is collected and used solely for communication and transaction purposes.

  • Marketing: Periodic marketing communications may be sent, but client data is never sold.

  • COPPA Compliance: We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have it deleted.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: Materials created by our tutors during sessions remain the intellectual property of Vebert Does Math, LLC.

  • Usage Rights: Students may use these materials for their personal educational purposes indefinitely.

7. No Warranties

  • Vebert Does Math, LLC and its tutoring team do not guarantee any specific improvement in academic performance as a result of tutoring sessions.

8. Release of Liability (Public Places)

  • For in-person sessions held in public locations, you acknowledge that there may be inherent risks. Vebert Does Math, LLC is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or incidents occurring at these locations. Clients are responsible for selecting a safe and appropriate environment for tutoring.

9. Dispute Resolution (Arbitration)

  • Any disputes arising from these terms or the tutoring services will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Both parties agree that the arbitrator’s decision is final and binding.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Any modifications to these terms will be communicated via a “Last Updated” notice at the time of booking. Continued use of our services after changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.
